🎺Get Ready to Toot Your Horn!🎺
It's "Toot Your Horn Tuesday"!!! Let’s make some noise for this week's recipient!!!

Wear gold tomorrow so we can all "Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month"! Take a selfie or pictures with your friends/coworkers and tag #GoGold & #CihildhoodCancerAwareness and show your support for all those who have been affected.

Tonight! This is not an informative presentation, just an opportunity to come and view the curriculum in person if you would like. Curriculum mandated topics: child abuse prevention, drug & alcohol awareness, early mental health intervention, character lessons, etc. We will not have the preview for any puberty or related topics for tonight. That will be scheduled at a later time by the presenter of the curriculum.

Join Mrs. Clark on Wednesday, September 25th on her Henrietta Superintendent Update Facebook Page at 4 PM. She will have a live video event with updates about the district.
If you have a question, please submit it on the google form - https://forms.gle/Rinxh1rkmeNiTMgZ8.

1 in 160 children will develop cancer before the age of 20. Together, we can give them hope and support. HISD will be "Going Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month" on Wednesday, September 25th. We encourage EVERYONE to wear gold on Wednesday! Post your pictures to social media with #GoGold & #ChildhoodCancerAwareness. Let's show our support! Special thank you to Cow Palace & Ranch Swag for designing our shirt and donating the proceeds to Cook Children's!

Announcement about tonight's football game!
They were hoping to get the asphalt poured before tonight's game but it is not going to happen until next week. So, we get to have a Pioneer Reunion type track tonight! Dirt! It is safe to walk on but the cheerleaders may want to keep their boots on for tonight!
Thanks for your patience with us while we continue to update our facilities.
Go Bearcats!

Orders close today at 5 pm so they have time to get them ready for Wednesday! Let's paint this town GOLD! 💛💛💛💛

HISD Counselors will be hosting a "Parent Preview Night" where parents of students grades K-12th will be able to preview the curriculum we will be using to cover state mandated topics. Some of these topics require parental consent in order for a student to receive that instruction. Those consent forms will be sent to you by your campus counselor. This is an opportunity for you to come view the curriculum in person and ask questions. All three campus counselors will be present along with our District Counselor. You may also preview the curriculum at home by going to this section of HISD website https://www.henrietta-isd.net/page/curriculum-instruction and clicking on "State Mandated Topics and Preview Links". Some of those links do not show the full curriculum due to copyright laws. To view the full curriculum, you will need to do that in person. If you are not able to attend and would like to view in person, you can click on the following links to request a time to view with the campus counselor:

Henrietta Bearcats! It has been another great week in HISD, and I want to share a few updates with you as we head into the weekend. Progress continues on our bond projects, some that are visible, and some that may have caught you off guard if you were at the football game last week! The new stadium lights we were able to install because of bond funds can be turned on and off very quickly, unlike the old stadium lights that would take a long time to come back on. So when we score a touchdown, the lights flash on and off, which made some people think we were having a lighting malfunction! Keep an eye out for that at the next home game on Sept 20 vs. Seymour! That is Pioneer Reunion Night, and we hope to see you there! You will also notice the track surface has been torn up in preparation for new asphalt, which we expect to be installed next week. This is going to be a great surface for our track athletes, and of course for our cheerleaders at football games. I am sure you will see me out there walking to get a few steps in, and I invite you to take advantage of the track as well once the surface is completed! We are grateful for the support of our community as these bond projects come to life. It is a great time to be a Bearcat! Jaime Clark
