Hello! My name is Jennifer Thompson. I love working at HES and being an elementary school counselor. Becoming a school counselor has always been my dream job.  I love working with kids and seeing them succeed in and out of the classroom!

I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Texas Woman’s University in December 2007. I have experience teaching kindergarten through 3rd grade. I graduated from Midwestern State University with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health with a concentration in School Counseling in December of 2022.

My husband, Will, and I met in our freshman year of high school in Henrietta. We have always known that we wanted our children to grow up in a small town. Our oldest daughter, Lilly, is in 5th grade this year. Our other two daughters, Addison and Avery, are in 2nd grade.  We also have three dogs, Quizzy, Chewy, and Charlie.  Our dogs are just as much family as the rest of us, to the point that they think they are human. Outside of school, our family enjoys spending time outdoors, going for walks, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
