📣🎺 TOOT YOUR HORN TUESDAY is BACK! 🎺📣
This week, we are tooting our horns for Sarah Scribner and Julie Kleinert! 🖤💛
These two ladies have stepped up in a BIG way for our SPED department. Sarah has taken the lead and has been going full force since the moment she returned. Julie has stepped up right alongside her and has taken on the majority of our resource classes. Both have worked tirelessly to make sure our students are getting the support they need.
They are perfect examples of doing your part, protecting the team and remembering that every role matters. When there was a need, they didn't hesitate. They jumped in and got to work!
Sarah and Julie, your hard work does not go unnoticed. We see you. We appreciate you. And today, we are TOOTING YOUR HORNS! 🎺🏁🖤💛

October is Bullying Prevention Month and we all play a part in teaching children how to show kindness, empathy, and respect for others. Throughout this month, we will be sharing tips and information on resolving conflict, how to stand up for others, and standing up for yourself. As always, if you or your child need to report bullying, you have two ways to do so: 1. In Person (tell the teacher, counselor, or administrator), 2. Anonymously through the "Report Bullying" link on your child's campus webpage.

As part of new state requirements, school districts are now required to certify each year that we are following certain laws and policies. Our Board of Trustees will approve this certification at the September board meeting, and it will then be submitted to TEA by September 30.

🐾🏁 **WELCOME TO THE BEARCAT PIT CREW, MRS. PEGGY DEMOSS!** 🏁🐾
Sometimes the best journeys bring you right back to where you started! 💛🖤
We are so excited to welcome Peggy DeMoss as our new Assistant Principal at Henrietta Elementary!
Mrs. DeMoss’s journey in education has truly come full circle. She began her career right here in Henrietta, completing her student teaching at Henrietta High School with Mrs. Graves. Since then, her career has taken her through various school districts and to Region 10 Education Service Center, where she has gained a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise.
And now, she’s coming home to Henrietta—this time to join us at the elementary! 🐾
We feel incredibly blessed to have Mrs. DeMoss joining our Bearcat family. Her experience, heart for education, and commitment to helping students and teachers grow will make her an amazing addition to our team.

Dear Henrietta Elementary Families,
We want to make families aware of an important change to bus transportation for this school year.
Buses will NOT pick up students in the morning or drop off students in the afternoon at the old Junior High location (308 E. Gilbert) as they have in previous years.
If your child previously used the old Junior High as a pick-up or drop-off location to get to or from Henrietta Elementary, you will need to make other transportation arrangements for your child.
All other regular bus routes will continue to run as scheduled.
If you have any questions regarding bus transportation or your child’s bus route, please contact George Essler at 940-720-7900 or via e-mail at George.Essler@henrietta-isd.net.
We appreciate your help in making sure transportation plans are in place before the start of school. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Melissa Silva
HES Principal
