Exterior doors- back to doing door checks and weekly audits once students
arrive

d.. Grant update – Chief Nash applied for 3 grants, still waiting for approval (should be around September/October time frame
e. Chief Nash working on new evacuation plan for stadium due to construction
f. working on new parking plan for football stadium during construction
5. Upcoming Projects
a. Ground breaking on new High School
b. Continue to work through repairs to be compliant with state requirements
c. sponsor another ALERRT Training for remaining deputies of CCSO
d. Conduct Summer training exercises with all ALERRT trained officers at HISD campuses.
e. finalize athletic facilities evacuation map/routes
6. Updates to TEA
School Safety
a. Legislative updates for upcoming school year -
I. added new guardians to
replace guardians that left the district
ii. Silent panic alert requirement
iii. grants requiring new entry tools, phone/smart device storage
7. Designate
district personnel to be trained in FEMA’s Incident Command System (ICS) and
National Incident Management System (NIMS).
a. Superintendent, Chief Learning Officer, Principals, Assistant Principals, School Resource Officer, Technology Director, Technology Assistant, Director of Operations, Director of Maintenance, HISD Safety and Security Officer, Director of Food Service, Nurse, Counselors
b. All of the people listed above will need to complete the ICS 100 and IS-700 for now and others in the future.

b. TxSSC’s EOP and School Safety Audit trainings - https://sslp.txssc.txstate.edu/; set up an account, and complete the Multi-Hazard EOP Development Series: Introductory training and the School Safety Audit training.

d. Print certificates after completing these trainings and email them to Kenny.Nash@henrietta-isd.net.
