HES is an amazing place to be, and I am excited to be a part of the administration team. I cannot wait to get to know more of our young people around school. I especially look forward to seeing their smiling faces while greeting them in the mornings, building relationships with each student and seeing how they grow throughout the year.
My husband, Jasper, two children and I have lived in Henrietta for about ten years now. My daughter Leah started college this year and my son Cole is a junior at HHS and loves sports and fishing. My favorite thing about living out in the country is reading books on my back porch with a delicious cup of coffee.
I have been in education for 14 years, and I have worked at Henrietta Elementary for the last ten. My first position here at Henrietta was in Head Start. I then moved to teach fourth grade math and science. After that, I was the math interventionist for about five years and taught fifth grade science. Before coming to Henrietta, I taught second and third grade for two years and special education for two years. I truly love teaching and education! As an administrator, and I enjoy the opportunity to help make sure all students succeed at Henrietta Elementary.
I love using Capturing Kids' Hearts to build relationships with students because I believe relationships are the key to students being engaged learners. I look forward to seeing students, HES staff and parents become partners in learning for all students this year. It is my goal to help instill a life-long love of learning in students.
