Pre-Registration for HS, PK and Kindergarten

Henrietta Elementary School will recruit Head Start and register Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students Friday, May 3.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. and take place in the HES Office. 

For Head Start eligibility, a child must be three years of age on or before September 1 and must meet Head Start qualification criteria.

To be eligible for pre-kindergarten, a child must be four years of age on or before September 1, and must be (1) unable to speak and comprehend the English language (limited English proficient); or (2) educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the National Free or Reduced-Price Lunch Program; (3) homeless, (4) child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the U.S. or a child of a member of the armed forces of the U.S. injured or killed on active duty, or (5) being or having ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing.


Kindergarten students should be five years of age on or before September 1.

Please bring:

Social Security Card

Birth certificate

Shot record

Court papers (if applicable—child support information, CPS or custody papers)


In addition to the items above, Head Start and Pre-K applicants must also provide:

Financial information—(2018 Income Tax Return)

Guardian papers (if applicable)

Medicaid/Insurance card (if applicable)

Picture ID

Proof of TANF or SSI (if applicable)
